Death and loss come to us all, whether its a close family member or just someone who meant so much to you and shared your values. When we deal with loss and go through the stages of grief – there’s no right and no wrong. But at the front of our focus should be to try and remember the positive times. Negativity bias is in all of us, naturally. We are conditioned to focus on the negative elements of a loss. But there is no need to dwell. If you work hard, you can turn the trauma of loss upside down by focusing on all those good memories. It’ll help you with your grief. No right way, no wrong way.

A wee tear has passed

A wee tear has passed

It’s unlikely to be our last

Life comes and goes so fast

Quickly our future becomes our past,

Aye, a wee tear has passed

Teardrops explode as it drops to the floor

It knows we won’t see you any more

Our hearts exploding to our core

Our pain continues to outpour

As the teardrop reaches the floor

As our tearfulness makes us sad

We recall the memories that we had

Eternally there to make us glad

that we shared our moments, the good the bad

Knowing we will never be forever sad

The wee tear has passed

The wee tear has passed
